Aug 05, 2016  Casino in Atlantic City, NJ. Wild wild west casino atlantic city. The pool area/fire pits are beautiful. A nice variety of slots and table games. One of my favorite AC casinos!' Jennifer O'Neil. Places people like to go after Wild Wild West Casino. Tropicana Casino & Resort. Thinking about all the different themed bars in Atlantic City, I think the Mountain Bar takes the cake for keeping truest to concept. That might sound a little contradictory to my earlier statement about the lack of destination aspect, but the entire Wild West Casino is decorated to theme so well, you just can't miss that hee-haw feeling any. Just got back. They removed the old mountains and added new tables by the entrance and yes they have $5 tables. But they have very limited hours and were closed today. It seems they never want to commit the labor to giving this a chance to work.

A BJ dealer told me they've lost a lot of staff because of part time hours, poor morale, etc. Hope they make it work. I'll check it out this weekend.

I was told by a low level employee there that they are actually running short of BJ dealers because they are only hiring part time. Won't commit to paying benefits to full time employees. I have a hard time believing that's true with all the laid off gaming talent in AC. But nothing surprises me when it comes to AC mismanagement. Who the hell go's to all the trouble to remodel and reopen the WWW area then doesn't think to staff it? It should be open every day noon to 4am. 24hrs Friday and Sat. If you're not doing that you're not trying.

Yea, I don't get it. Even on Sunday there were only a few tables open in the new area. Like you said, it seems like they are not even trying. Regular Bally's was packed at almost all the tables.

Hey V1, speaking of AC MISMANAGEMENT, you're going to get a good kick of these..
1) Currently Bally's is auditioning/training young bj dealers right on the casino floor. Why bother to audition/train newbies when tons of seasoned bj dealers are looking for a job?
2) The renovated-WWW offers all $5 6:5 8-deck blackjack games in the 2 brand new pits..and get this..
Nicholas, the card-counter-catcher, has patrolled the 6:5 bj pits. Hmm.. I wonder how many card-counters will Nicholas catch?
I'm OK with Corps which pick and choose clienteles. Both insurance companies and casinos have the right to pick and choose customers. They may keep profitable ones and kicked out the rest. But, I'm not OK with a casino supervisor who says counting cards.. is like stealing food from a buffet (a foodlifting offense), or video-taping a movie in a cinema (a piracy offense).

SMH..with those rules; at a $5 table, if they are even bothering to track anybody's play they are probably wasting time. I bet it cost them more to catch a 'counter' than to just let them play. No real counter is playing those rules anyway. Not when you can walk next door to regular ballys and do better. What's the table max at those $5 tables with crappy rules..$500 probably. No one with any sense is playing $500 a hand on those tables. Probably green chip action is a big deal in that pit. It's mostly drunk college kids. Not that there is anything wrong with that. I was a drunk college kid once if I remember correctly, and I'm not sure I do. It's kinda a hazy cloud of Milwaukee's Best.

My buddy was in AC last week and found a $5 table at WWW on Saturday night. Not sure how long it was up for. I'd love $5 craps, though. Would I be better off hitting WWW on a Saturday day/night, or a Sunday day trip?

I finally saw the updated Wild West casino last weekend.. It looks like a pretty cool space and area with the live band stage and everything, although no one way playing at the time.
On the busy (holiday weekend) Sunday afternoon they had $5 roulette, $5 craps, $5 3CP, and a few $5 BJ tables (no idea about the rules). You would've had to wait or really squeeze yourself in to play at any of them..

I spent the last 2 days in AC .
Bally's stopped doing $5 table games all together on the main floor. Now, in the area of the old fountain is are 2 pits of table games and a mechanical bull. Both of which are only open during very limited night hours. They are shooting for a nightclub atmosphere with loud music and lights - if you don't like this than I would stay away. They also added an additional bar connecting to the boardwalk, Guy Fieri's 'BBQ Joint', and another quick service restaurant. I think it was called AC Snack Shack.
The pork sandwich at Guy's was decent, nothing mind blowing, but decent. If you order any sides they give them to you in the tiniest cups, and their disposable spoons/forks are wooden which I didn't like.
They never seem to know what to do with this wild wild west area. I really wish they would just own the Western Theme or scrap it, instead of trying to turn it into this pseudo-nightclub with beer pong no one plays and tons and tons of unused space.
And speaking of dealers - I was playing at 3AM at ceasars and one was complaining to me about how poorly they are treated. Said they cut wages down to $5.50/hr and took away many benefits/perks for employees. Tip your dealer folks.
